Practice Areas
John Louis is an associate at Perry & Villarreal, LLP. His educational journey outside of the classroom began in elementary school when he would spend his summer days with his sister helping their mother, a middle school teacher, prepare her classroom. John Louis’ passion for serving others cemented itself when he began mentoring younger students while in high school and college. He attributes his mother’s time as an attorney, and then her career as an educator, as the impetus for going to law school and focusing on education law.
John Louis has worked exclusively with public school clients in the areas of special education and student matters since graduating from law school. He brings pragmatism and ingenuity to the cases he is involved in. Additionally, John Louis uses his policy experience gained while working in the House of Representatives, the California State Senate, and State Assembly to help clients navigate the complexities of education law.
John Louis graduated from Pepperdine University with a degree in Political Science, during which time he studied abroad in Florence, Italy. He went on to graduate with his Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, where he served as a teaching assistant. During his time at Pepperdine, he also earned a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, a top-ranked alternative dispute resolution program.
When not in the office, John Louis loves to golf with his dad, travel to new places, and explore local eateries. He also enjoys watching movies with friends and family, and spending time outdoors with his dog, Skye.
