BIOGRAPHY
Aimee is a founding Partner at Perry & Villarreal, LLP. Aimee’s love for education and her student centered approach to practicing law stems from a family of teachers, and from a father who retired as a superintendent. Many summers and evenings were spent helping her mom put up bulletin boards in her classroom or creating materials for her class. Conversations with her dad about life as a director of curriculum, assistant superintendent and superintendent have helped her to understand her client’s needs on a more personal level.
As an attorney, Aimee strives to understand a client’s short-term, intermediate, and long-term goals. This allows her to assist the client with day to day operations, while planning for the long-term needs of the local educational agency and students. Aimee’s practice is focused on special education and student matters. She has worked with local educational agencies across the state for over a decade navigate difficult IEP and 504 team meetings, student discipline matters, CDE, OAH and OCR complaints. Her expertise also includes inter and intra-district student transfer issues, student records, mandatory reporting, bullying, immunizations, mask requirements, medication administration, as well as representing local educational agencies in due process, and a myriad of other student and special education related issues.
Aimee earned her undergraduate degree from San Diego State University, where she majored in International Business. Ms. Perry is fluent in Spanish and gained a certificate to do business in Spanish as part of her major at San Diego State. Ms. Perry earned her law degree from the University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law.
As a mother of two young daughters, Aimee spends her free time with them and her husband, normally playing at the park or going on bike rides. She enjoys traveling, doing art and science projects with her daughters, and going to the beach.
